Tropical Essentials

Tropical Essentials

Welcome to vacation week! This week is all about going away to warmer climates during the winter months.  Today I am showing you what my vacation essentials are, as I will be going away for five days in January! These are the items that I cannot live without on beach vacations.

Hat: This cute Fedora from Nordstrom is the perfect beach vacation hat.  It’s not too expensive either, so I don’t get that bothered if it gets a little beat up in the process of traveling.

Cover-up: I love bigger shirts as cover-ups, and this one from Top Shop is perfect.  It’s lightweight, but provides good coverage from the sun.

Bikini: I get most of my bikinis from Victorias Secret.  They come in so many different styles and colors, they have something for everyone! Not to mention that they are great quality, and since bathing suits usually wear out quickly anyways, the price of these doesn’t hurt either.

Sunglasses: Don’t forget to protect your peepers! Especially if you have blue eyes, always bring your shades with you!

Flip Flops: Concrete baking under the sun can get very hot, very quickly.  Rainbows are a super comfortable option!

Sunscreen: For my face my dermatologist recommended Elta MD oil free sunscreen.  It’s very lightweight, blends easily, and works on sensitive and acne prone skin.  For my limbs I love this Neutrogena sunscreen.  It comes in many different levels of SPF, and protects my skin even while swimming.

Lip Balm: This lip balm has SPF 15 – your lips can get sunburned too! I also love this one from Coola, for a less expensive option.

Hydration: Caudalie Beauty Elixir is a great way to keep your face hydrated, or if you need some much needed cooling off.  This comes in a 1 oz. size as well, which is great for traveling! Also try the Evian spray for something a little less expensive.

Make sure to look out for a beach make-up post tomorrow! What are your vacation essentials?
